Nate Bargatze is an American comedian, known for his clean comedy style. He recently released his stand-up special “Hello World” on Amazon Prime Video, filmed at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. He decided to go with Amazon instead of Netflix, as he will own the special and can do more with it after four years, whereas with Netflix he wouldn’t have had ownership.

Bargatze is not just a comedian, but is also building an entertainment company. He has produced several stand-up specials, including “The Tennessee Kid” and “The Greatest Average American,” both released on Netflix. His first album “Yelled at by a Clown” was on the Billboard Top Ten Comedy Charts for two weeks, peaking at No. 2. His second album, “Full Time Magic,” was released in coordination with his Comedy Central special in May 2015.

Bargatze’s career started at The Boston in New York City, and he has since appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He was part of Fallon’s Clean Cut Comedy Tour in 2013 and won New York’s Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy Festival that year. Bargatze has also performed for American armed forces in Iraq and Kuwait.

He was mentioned by comedians Marc Maron and Jim Gaffigan as one of the top up-and-coming comics. In 2021, Bargatze was featured in an article for The Atlantic, where he was called “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.”

Bargatze lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife Laura Baines, whom he married on October 13, 2006. They have a daughter, Harper, born on July 8, 2012.
